- The CB125M is a naked street bike and the CB125X is an adventure-tourer
- Both bikes are based on the CB125R’s platform
- Honda is focused on introducing them in the European markets
Honda showcased a pair of 125cc concept models; CB125X and CB125M that were presented at the EICMA 2018 show in Milan, Italy. Both models are design studies from the Japanese bikemaker developed at the company’s research and development centre in Rome
The CB125X is an adventure-tourer while the CB125M is a naked street bike. Both bikes are based on the same platform as that of the CB125R which is sold in international markets. Being concept models, both bikes are adorned with fancy components which make them look futuristic.
The CB125M concept majorly looks like a supermoto bike with long front suspension and slick tyres. It sports a tiny headlamp housed in a flat panel and gets a wide handlebar with knuckle guards. The sharp tank section ends into a sharply pointed tail.
As for the CB125X, the motorcycle is a pure adventure-tourer with tall stance, spoked wheels and dual-purpose tyres. It sports a quirky-looking vertical headlamp accompanied by a tall windscreen, knuckle guards, angular fairing and long and flat seat unit. Both the motorcycles strap front fork protectors.
Honda intends to introduce two bikes in the Europe markets owing to the rising demand of 125cc motorcycles in the continent. However, these won’t come to India anytime soon.
