- Gets a modern-retro supersports design.
- Based on the MV Agusta F3 800.
- Likely to go into production next year.
MV Agusta has revealed a modern-retro supersport motorcycle called the Superveloce 800 at the on-going EICMA in Italy.
While the bike’s design is reminiscent of ‘70s motorcycles, it uses carbon-fibre bodywork and shares most of its underpinnings like the chassis and engine with the F3 800. MV Agusta has not yet revealed details but the 798cc, inline-three engine it uses from the F3 is expected to be retuned for a slightly higher power output.
The Superveloce 800 gets a retro-looking circular headlamp and tail lamp with full-LED lighting. It also gets a leather-strap running across the tank for a retro look. The bike uses a completely new subframe that allows the bike to replace its mono-seat with a dual seat. It offers a leaned forward riding position similar to the bike it is based on, although with adjustable foot pegs. To further add to its sporty appeal, the Superveloce 800 gets the 3-1-3 exhaust system; although with two pipes on the right and one on the left.
The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 sports a full-colour TFT dash and we can expect it to come equipped with an ABS system, eight-level traction control, electronic quick shifter, rear lift mitigation system as standard. The bike is expected to hit production sometime later next year and is highly likely to arrive in India by 2020.
