CFMoto has marked its foray into the Indian market with the launch of its first product – the 650 NK. Priced at Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom), the CFMoto 650 NK is the most affordable middleweight motorcycle that you can buy in India.
The Eider Motors CFMoto 650 NK is a middleweight streetfighter, built around a tubular steel diamond frame chassis with the engine as a stressed member. It gets characteristic streetfighter-ish styling cues like a muscular fuel tank, partially exposed frame, raised rear section and an agressively designed headlamp. The tall handlebar and slightly rear-set footpegs offer a sporty rifing position.
Enclosed in the chassis is a 649.3cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The engine delivers 56bhp and 62Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. The suspension setup consists of Kyaba 41mm telescopic forks in the front and a Kyaba cantilever mono shock at the rear. The CFMoto 650 NK gets dual 300mm disc brake with twin-piston callipers in the front and a single 240mm disc with a single-piston calliper in the rear. It rides on five-spoke 17-inch cast aluminium wheels.
CFMoto is a Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer, which has set up shop in the country with the help of Hyderabad-based Eider Motors. While the manufacturer isn't really a renowned name in automotive circles, such a lucrative price is sure to make customers sit up and take notice of the brand. As a middleweight streetfighter, the CFMoto 650 NK competes with the Kawasaki ER-6n and the Benelli TNT 600i.
