Eider Motors are all set to sell the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto’s range in India. They have CFMoto’s complete motorcycle and scooter line up at their dealership in Hyderabad. The line-up includes the 150NK, Jetmax 250, 650NK and the 650TK.
Starting with the smallest and likely to be the highest selling 150NK, this street-fighter is powered by a 149.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.3bhp at 9000rpm and 12.2Nm of torque at 6500rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It will take on Yamaha’s FZ range, Suzuki Gixxer and the Honda Hornet 160R.
The Jetmax 250, a full-sized scooter that is powered by a 250cc, water-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 22.4bhp at 8000rpm and 21Nm of torque at 6500rpm while mated to a CVT gearbox. The scooter comes with features such as an MP3 music system and an integrated back rest.
650NK is a street-fighter powered by a 649.3cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC engine that produces 55.7bhp at 9500rpm and 62Nm of torque at 7000rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The front wheel has 300mm dual discs with twin-piston calipers and the rear wheel has a 240mm single disc with a single piston. This middleweight street-fighter is suspended by 41mm KYB telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear.
650TK is the full-faired adventure-touring twin of the 650NK and is powered by the same 649.3cc engine producing similar output. We see a similar concept of naked and adventure-touring sharing engines at Kawasaki with the ER-6n and Versys 650, Benelli TNT 600i and TNT 600GT. The two CFMoto 650 twins will likely take on those offerings.
