- Could feature similar styling to the first Luna
- Will be manufactured in India
- Would get a utilitarian build
Kinetic is all set to revive the Luna moped but this time it'll be in the EV avatar. Its first image has been leaked, and here's what the upcoming e-Luna could look like.
Retaining the commuter and utility aspects, the e-Luna will get a fairly simple structure. As seen here, it'd consist of a square headlight flanked by bulb indicators and a probable LCD as well. Similar to its predecessor and rival, the TVS XL 100, the e-Luna would get a split seat with storage space and a crash guard at the front as well as a grab rail at the rear.
Currently, the details of its battery and motor are unavailable but its hardware would be quite simple – telescopic front forks with a dual rear shock and drum brakes at both ends. Considering the Kinetic e-Luna can be focused on last-mile delivery, its affordability aspect would be crucial. So, it is likely to be barebones on the feature front.
The Kinetic e-Luna is developed by Kinetic Greens and will be manufactured in India. We expect it to be launched this year. Lastly, if it gets a top speed of more than 25kmph, you can also expect the e-Luna to be eligible for the FAME II subsidy.
