Electric Luna under development; India launch soon

-         Electric Luna underdevelopment

-         Will be called e-Luna

-         Likely to be launched this year

Kinetic plans to launch the electric version of the iconic two-wheeler brand – Luna. This news was confirmed by the company's top honcho, along with the new name – e Luna.

According to a report, the electric Luna is being developed by Kinetic Greens – a sister company under the Kinetic Group. This company is planning to manufacture this two-wheeler in India. In fact, reports are suggesting that the assembly line for e-Luna is almost ready. This assembly plant is rumoured to have a monthly production capacity of 5000 units.

As of now, there are no other details on this Luna. There are no spy shots of this two-wheeler, nor are any further technical specifications leaked onto the internet. However, the overall design and aesthetics could resemble the older Luna but will be tweaked to accommodate the modern inspiration.

This two-wheeler is expected to be priced at the lower end of the EV spectrum, which means it can be targeted as a last-mile connectivity vehicle. The e-Luna could also get a lot of customers from the app delivery agents if priced right and has a decent riding range and charging time.
