Emflux Motors teases two new electric naked bikes

- To be called the Emflux Two and Two Plus

- Performance and range figures have also been revealed

- Emflux also clarified the reason for the launch delay of its first product

Emflux Motors, a Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler start-up, has released a new teaser image of two of its upcoming electric motorcycles. The company chose Independence day to post this picture on its official social media channel. Subsequently, it also released a statement clarifying the reason for the delay in the launch of its first product, the Emflux One.

The teaser reveals that the upcoming motorcycles will be called the Emflux Two and Two Plus. Going by the front section of the bikes visible in the picture, these will be quintessential naked streetbikes with aggressive lines and creases on their bodywork. The vertically-stacked headlamp is similar to the Emflux One fully-faired bike which was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in concept form. On top of the headlamp is a single-piece straight handlebar and a digital instrument cluster. Furthermore, the sharp and angular side panels resemble the fuel-tank extensions on petrol-powered motorcycles.

Besides giving us a glimpse of the bikes, the released image also gives us an idea of performance and range figures of the Emflux Two and Two Plus. While the former reportedly achieves a top speed of 160kmph, the latter, which is apparently its higher-spec version, is touted to do 200kmph max. Meanwhile, the ‘4’.5 sec’ and ‘3.6 sec’ are likely to be either the 0-60kmph or 0-100kmph timings. The image also seems to indicate the range of the bikes which stand at 160km for the Two and 180km for the Two Plus. Going by these numbers, both bikes will target the 300cc to 600cc segment in the country.

Giving a clarification on the launch delay of its first motorcycle, the Emflux One, the company stated that the design and development process is time-consuming since they are creating it from scratch and in-house. Moreover, every part of its development including mechanical, electrical and design is being taken care of by the brand itself which has further delayed the launch. On a different note, the brand also revealed that it will be launching more affordable products in association with a few partners. Adding to this, Emflux also affirmed that it intends to remain a premium electric two-wheeler brand in India.
