KTM has revealed the entry-level variant of its middleweight adventure tourer motorcycle, the 890 Adventure. The 890 Adventure range comprises of three variants – Standard, R, and Rally. The Rally variant will be available in limited numbers.
The new 889cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine is Euro5-compliant and it makes 103.5bhp and 100Nm of peak torque. Styling cues are similar to the 790 Adventure. Thus, the 890 Adventure continues to feature a tall-windscreen, low-slung fuel tank, knuckle guards, and split seats.
The suspension setup comprises of a new WP APEX rear shock that features a rebound damping adjuster and an additional hand adjuster for spring preload. The suspension setup also includes WP-sourced upside-down front forks. Other features on the motorcycle comprise of 200mm of suspension travel, Dakar Rally-inspired ergonomics, accessible seat height, a low fender, a 20-litre tank, and the KTM MY RIDE Navigation.
The KTM 890 Adventure gets adventure-spec tires, a full-size TFT dashboard, Cornering ABS, Motorcycle Traction Control, Motor Slip Regulation, and two-step adjustable seat height. Buyers can also opt for accessories like Cruise Control, Quickshifter+, heated seat, and heated grips.
