Erik Buell Racing has secured financing from GE capital, which will help them in expanding their dealership network. The company, founded by motorcycle racer and former Harley-Davidson employee Erik Buell has also confirmed plans of developing 1190RX, 1190SX and 1190AX based on their first motorcycle.
The financing from GE will help dealers to stock and sell EBR’s current and future products. Buell’s first production motorcycle is the EBR 1190RS that sells for $40,000. The company is also developing motorcycles aimed at other high-performance markets and looks to introduced one in 2013.
Earlier this year, Hero MotoCorp had invested in Erik Buell Racing. EBR is now Hero’s technology partner and will help them develope future products. Earlier, we had reported about Hero MotoCorp and Erik Buell Racing developing a new 250cc motorcycle – first model from the JV.
