- Get mechanical upgrades to comply with Euro5 norms
- GSX-R125 available in three colours
- GSX-S125 priced at 4,20,200 yen (Rs 2.50 lakh)
Suzuki has updated its Japanese portfolio with the launch of the Euro5-compliant GSX-R125 and GSX-S125. The changes to the latest iterations of the motorcycles are limited to mechanical upgrades to comply with the newest emission norms. The updated 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor on the 2022 models makes 14.75bhp at 10,500rpm and 11Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm.
The GSX-R125 features a full fairing design along with a clip-on-style handlebar. The GSX-S125, on the other hand, is a roadster segment motorcycle and thus does not get a fairing and uses a flat handlebar. Common features on both motorcycles include LED lighting, fully-digital instrument cluster, Suzuki Easy Start System, hazard switch, keyhole with protective shutter, and 10-spoke aluminium wheels.
The hardware on the GSX-R125 and the GSX-S125 comprise telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, petal-type disc brakes on both wheels, and anti-lock braking system. The 2022 Suzuki GSX-R125 is available in three paint options and it has been priced at 4,53,200 yen (Rs 2.70 lakh). The GSX-S125, on the other hand, is available in two colours and priced at 4,20,200 yen (Rs 2.50 lakh).
Do note that these 125cc motorcycles are not likely to arrive in the Indian market.
