- Evoke 6061 electric power cruiser revealed in China
- Offers a top speed of 230kmph and a riding range of up to 470km
- Charges up to 80 per cent in 15 minutes through a 125kW fast charger
The Beijing-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Evoke Motorcycles, has taken the wraps off the Evoke 6061 electric cruiser in China. The specifications and performance numbers revealed by the brand are extraordinary and keep it ahead of most of the performance electric motorcycles available in the international markets.
Before we talk about the numbers, its outstanding design is worth taking a look at. The Evoke 6061 is truly a power cruiser with an imposing stance. It sports a round LED headlamp with a puny cowl on top while the mid-section comprises of nicely chiseled muscular panels. The design ends into a short and pointed tail section which resembles that of the Ducati Diavel to a certain extent. Furthermore, the chunky wheels, beefy inverted forks and a straight handlebar add more character to the e-bike.
However, the most impressive bits of the Evoke 6061 lie under the skin. The electric motorcycle incorporates a 120kW liquid-cooled motor which propels it to a top speed of 230kmph! This motor is powered by a massive 24.8kWh liquid-cooled battery pack which is claimed to deliver a range of around 470km (city) and 265km (highway). What’s more, its DC fast charging setup aids in juicing it up to 80 per cent in 15 minutes through a 125kW fast charger.
Evoke will sell the 6061 in the US as a 2021 model with an exorbitant price tag of $24,995 (approximately Rs 18.73 lakh). Considering the overall package that the bike is, it will compete against the likes of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, Zero SR/F and Energica models. As for its India entry, Evoke is unlikely to come to our shores anytime soon.
