Hyosung is clear that it wants to make a big dent in the premium motorcycle space in India. And keeping this in mind, the company plans to go aggressive with its Indian partner, DSK Motowheels in the next financial year.
DSK Hyosung will first launch the GV300 that was unveiled yesterday at the ongoing EICMA 2015. This new cruiser has been updated mechanically and cosmetically, to make the bike look more attractive. For S&T Motors, the parent company of Hyosung, the GV300 will be their first global launch next financial year. Following this, the Indian market will get the new GT300R and the GT650R. While the GT300R gets marginal power over its predecessor GT350R, the GT650R gets heavy cosmetic updates and that has made the bike quite good looking.
After these three launches, the Indian market will get the GD250R and the GD250N. There were lot of rumours about one of them making their way to the Indian market, and both the companies are clear about its potential and would want to offer it to the Indian consumers. The company plans to launch these bikes depending on the final production model of the GD450R (unveiled at 2015 EICMA) as a lot of components are being shared to keep costs in check. There is also a high chance of the launch of the GD450R being clubbed with the younger siblings.
Along with all these models, DSK Hyosung will silently launch the facelifted GV650, facelifted ST7, the updated GT650R and the GT650N in due course. Unfortunately, DSK Motowheels won’t be displaying the Hyosung at the upcoming 2015 Auto Expo. But do check out our detailed picture galleries of each of these bikes in the next few days. All the upcoming Hyosung bikes will be sold as completely-knocked-down (CKD) units.
