Kinetic recently introduced the exotic MV Agusta brand to India. And in fact began selling the Brutale 1090 in the Indian market recently as well. But, the Pune-based company isn’t stopping at just one brand; a source close to the Kinetic has informed BikeWale that Kinetic is currently in talks with a couple of other premium European motorcycle brands.
Once the discussions are through and the nitty-gritties sorted, Kinetic will bring these European bike brands to India. This might take a couple of months. In fact, one of the reasons for Kinetic to brand its showrooms as ‘Motoroyale’ and not MV Agusta, was to include more than just one premium brand to its portfolio.
While majority of the big European motorcycle brands are already accounted for in India like KTM, Aprilia and Ducati, we think Kinetic will bring in small or boutique brands into India. These brands might not sell in huge numbers, but they have good brand value. We hope to hear more on this in the next couple of months but one thing is for sure, the Indian premium bike segment is getting very competitive indeed.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Kinetic Motoroyale business.
