- New sub-300cc engine in the works
- Different model than the newly introduced BMW F 450 GS
- Will feature LED illumination, wire-spoke wheels, and proper ADV styling
TVS’ upcoming 300cc adventure bike has been spotted testing. The bike is currently under development but is inching closer to production. The brand has been tight-lipped about it for a while but we now have exclusive details for you about the TVS 300cc Adventure motorcycle.
First things first, the test mule that you see here is completely different from the BMW F 450 GS that was showcased recently at EICMA. Although the two brands are working together, the TVS 300cc Adventure bike is a separate project. It will house a new motor that TVS is developing and could borrow learnings from the one that TVS currently uses for the RTR 310 and the RR 310. It will be linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Then, the overall styling can be expected to be rugged like a typical adventure bike. However, we do expect muscular body panels too. The hardware will include a front and rear disc brake setup mounted on wire-spoke wheels with tubed tyres. TVS could provide a 21-inch front wheel and may be an optional 19-inch front wheel as well. This will suffice its off-road as well as on-road riding purposes.
Then, the suspension duties are likely to be done by USD front forks and a monoshock. Given that TVS’s road-going motorcycles like the RR 310 and the RTR 310 offer adjustable springs, it only makes sense for the upcoming ADV to also offer the same. Then, there could be features like LED illumination, ride modes, a fully digital console, and more, since TVS is known to load its bikes and scooters with a bevvy of electronics.
Currently, the TVS 300cc Adventure bike is in its final stages of development. As seen here, it is under the testing phase and the Hosur-based bikemaker could make an official announcement in the middle of next year. The TVS Adventure bike will fill the void between the Hero Xpulse 200 4V and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Last but not least, it will also be the most expensive bike in the TVS lineup.
