UM India will shock the Indian market later this year when it launches its first electric cruiser, the Renegade Electric. However, it will be initially sold in Delhi only as the state has the best charging infrastructure.
This new cruiser is developed on an all-new platform and will also churn out more e-bikes in the future. The Renegade Electric puts out 50bhp through its 30kw motor. This cruiser can do 150kms in a single charge. There’s an option to go for a fast charging system which will charge the motor 80 per cent in just 40 minutes.
The company will showcase the Renegade Electric at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo. While the company is keen on gauging the customers’ response, it has already fixed a price tag of around Rs 6 lakhs to Rs 7 lakhs for the Renegade Electric.
