-New cruiser unveiled in Thailand
-Has vehicle to load (V2L) functionality as well
-Gets a TFT display with navigation functionality
Thailand based electric vehicle manufacturer Smartech has unveiled a new electric touring motorcycle at the 45th Bangkok Motor Show . Called the Felo Tooz, the big highlight of the cruiser is its 720km claimed battery range. That’s quite an impressive number considering many electric cars also don’t offer more than 500km of range on a single charge.
Felo, the subsidiary of Smartech who’s built the bike, has not revealed any battery or motor specifications. That said, the range offered by the Tooz should alleviate the range anxiety that people associate with electric vehicles, at least to some extent. But, that is not all.
The Felo Tooz also offers Vehicle to Load or V2L feature which allows one to use the motorcycle’s battery to power other devices. Speaking of the Tooz’s battery, it can be charged using a Type2 charger. Using this facility the battery can be charged from 20-80 per cent in a matter of 20 minutes only.
While the exact specifications of the battery is under wraps, it is likely that there’s a large and energy dense battery under the expansive, Honda GoldWing inspired bodywork. The Tooz has a rather functional design, evident in the largely flat body panels around the bike. There’s a massive topbox and panniers as well and there’s an option to convert one of the panniers into a chilled box. Access to a cold drink by the side of the road while touring couldn’t get more convenient than this.
Other features of the Tooz includes a 12-inch TFT display with navigation, 360-degree camera, ABS and traction control.
As of now there is no clarity on the launch timeline of the Felo Tooz but we expect it to hit the Thai markets in a few months.
