- Ducati’s riders for the 2019 racing season were announced
The first edition of Shell Ducati Riders Day was successfully conducted by Ducati India, in association with its technical partner, Shell Lubricants. The event was hosted at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida on 29 September.
The training program was conducted in two sessions including Ducati Road Academy which witnessed a group of DRE-certified trainers mentoring the participants to improve their riding skills while making them safer riders. This was followed by the Open Track Day under which all Ducati owners, except for those with Scrambler models, got an opportunity to ride on India’s only FIA Grade 1-certified race track, the BIC. Notably, over 100 Ducati riders were a part of the event.
Besides the training and track riding, yet another highlight of the event was the presence of Andrea Dovizioso, Ducati’s official MotoGP rider. In what was his first visit to India, Andrea shed light on his long and successful association with Ducati. The veteran racer also interacted with his admirers and shared his most memorable experiences throughout his racing career.
At the Shell Ducati Riders Day, the company also announced its official riding team for the 2019 racing season in India. The trio of riders includes Rajini Krishnan, who has won various national and international championships, along with the young talent Dilip Lalwani and the litre-class female rider, Neharika Yadav.
Shell Lubricants also gave an opportunity to its 25 lucky customers to become a part of the event. These attendees were selected through ‘MotoSport Promo Campaign’ conducted by Shell in order to promote its limited-edition Advance promo pack of engine oil. Notably, Shell Advance and Ducati have been official partners since 1999. The Italian bikemaker recommends Shell engine oil for Ducati motorcycles, for the racetrack as well as for the road, as it is claimed to provide optimum protection and performance in all conditions.
