Called the Titan, this futuristic batman-esque concept displays what could be the future for motorcycles. Turkish designer, Mehmet Erdem, has created several BMW motorcycle concepts in the past. But, this one is undoubtedly the best.
An international source has reported that the inspiration for the vehicle’s shape was a shark. Shark or not, this motorcycle is a work of art. The body even gets wider at the bottom to replicate some sort of fins to increase stability at high speeds while also offering the rider a place to rest his or her feet. The only things left out are the motorcycle’s controls as there is no visible handlebar, gear shifter or brake pedal. Sadly, this design exercise will never go from the conceptual stage to reality. Nonetheless, Erdem’s design can serve to inspire the manufacturer’s designers to go beyond the current designs.
Erdem said that the Titan could serve as a land speed record motorcycle but he thinks there’s room for a street bike too. With a higher ground clearance, no side fins to allow for more lean and you end up with Ducati’s XDiavel competitor.
