Gogoro, a Taiwan-based electric mobility company has unveiled its made-in-India scooter, the CrossOver GX250 in India. The brand also took the wraps off its battery-swapping system that will be available to B2B customers in Goa and Delhi now while being offered in Pune and Mumbai in 2024.
The Gogoro GX250 is manufactured in Maharashtra and comes with a rugged and utilitarian appeal. It offers increased rigidity and 26 mounting points that offer four cargo-carrying areas. Moreover, the rear seat can be flipped and converted to a backrest while adding luggage space at the rear. Now, the CrossOver is available in two other variant- the CrossOver 50 and CrossOver S. While the GX250 will be available immediately, the 50 and S version will be offered next year.
Powering the Gogoro GX250 is a 2.5kW Direct Drive that offers a 60kmph top-speed and range of 111km. In terms of features, it comes with a digital instrument cluster, rain mode, traction control and a keyless function. Now, pricing of the electric scooters haven’t been revealed and are likely to be announced by early 2024.
