Taiwanese EV major Gogoro has plans to enter the Indian two-wheeler market. The company recently sent an invite through which it will reveal the India plans on November 3. 

Gogoro is the same company Hero MotoCorp tied up with a few months ago. This Taiwanese brand is primarily known for its battery-swapping platform which has done wonders in the Taiwan market. It has also developed electric two-wheelers that have transformed the way consumers commute in Taiwan. 

Hero MotoCorp has plans to leverage its tech and experience and create a new ecosystem in India. Its first electric-scooter Vida V1 also uses the battery swapping feature and this approach clearly shows the brand’s future intents. 

We are expecting Gogoro also to go solo and not just be present in India via Hero MotoCorp. There’s a high chance of the brand launching its own set of electric two-wheelers and also battery swapping ecosystem that Hero MotoCorp could also harness in future.
