- Taiwan-based Gogoro to unveil new models
- Could showcase the CrossOver model
- Pricing and availability details to be revealed soon
Taiwan-based manufacturer, Gogoro is scheduled to unveil a couple of new electric scooters in India today, 12 December.
While there aren’t much details of what models will be showcased, reports suggest that one of these will be the CrossOver that was unveiled in October. Now, this scooter is also focused on off-road usage along with on-road abilities.
And so, it comes with a rugged design language with a huge floorboard, large body panels and crash guards. What is even interesting is the pillion seat that can be folded and turned into a pillion backrest while adding room for luggage. Further, the company has offered a luggage carrying rack at the front that fits above the dual, quirky-looking headlamp.
The Gogoro CrossOver is powered by a 7.5kW electric motor powered by a pair of swappable batteries with a combined capacity of 1.6kWh. Together, they are claimed to offer around 100km of a single full charge. Now, to fit its purpose, the scooter rides on 12-inch wheels with Maxxis dual-purpose tyres at both ends with what looks like long-travel suspension.
