- Offers a range of 150km

Gravton has launched the Quanta electric scooter in the Indian market at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 99,000. The Hyderabad-based startup EV brand claims that the electric scooter is designed and developed using local components. Every component is architected and engineered in-house which makes the Quanta a Made-in-India product. The company is also working on an e-bike in the sports category which would be primarily be targeted towards young riders.
The Quanta is a simple looking electric moped. It comes with a circular headlamp, Quanta graphics on its sides, a split-type seat, chunky rear grab handle and a swappable battery bay. It is further offered with features like all LED lights, a fully-digital instrument cluster, two charging modes, a battery swap enabled chassis, a smart mobile application and GOTAC. The smart application helps the rider with roadside assistance, mapping service station, tracking, remote immobilisation, remote lock/unlock and turning on or off the lights from a remote distance.
The electric scooter is propelled by a BLDC motor that churns out 170Nm of max torque. This motor draws power from a 3KW Lio-ion detachable battery. This setup lends the electric scooter a top speed of 70kmph and a range of 150km on a single charge. The electric scooter uses a rib-caged battery swap enabled chassis that enables the rider to swap the battery by locating the nearest Gravton's battery station. This battery requires three hours to fully charge using a home charger.
The Quanta is offered with a five-year battery warranty and is available in three colour options, Red, White and Black. The black coloured variant, being a special edition, is available in limited supply. Customers can book the electric scooter online via Gravton's official website.
