Harley Davidson has launched the Dyna Fat Bob model in India at Rs 12.80 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Dyna Fat Bob is powered by a 1585cc v-twin engine which is mated to 6 speed gearbox. The motorcycle also features fuel injection. The engine produces 126Nm of torque at 3500rpm.
The motorcycle looks like a typical American cruiser with twin headlamps, twin exhausts and a big tank which can hold up to 18.8 litres of fuel. There are twin disc brakes at the front and single disc at the rear. The motorcycle features 16-inch alloys with a 130mm wide tyre at front and 180mm at the rear and has a kerb weight of 325kg.
The company will assemble the Fat Bob from completely knocked-down (CKD) kits at its plant in Balal, Haryana. After Brazil, India is the only country where Harley has a CKD unit to assemble the parts supplied from their factories in the USA. Harley Davidson is also planning to set up a manufacturing unit in India for entry level models. With the new plant, the company will be able to expand its presence in the world’s second-largest motorcycle market.
The Dyna Fat Bob is available in Silver Pearl, Scarlet Red, Black Ice Pearl, Flame Blue Pearl and Vivid Black.
