Harley-Davidson’s electric two-wheeler division, LiveWire is all set to unveil a new model on 21 March. Called the S2 Mulholland, this new electric motorcycle is said to be based on the LiveWire S2 Del Mar that was introduced in July 2023.
The teaser of the Harley-Davidson S2 Mulholland reveals the badging on what looks like the flap that covers the charging socket on the “tank”. The next shot shows the rider being seated in what looks like a fairly upright riding position. The handlebar is connected to a tall riser unlike the lower positioning on the S2 Del Mar, which suggests a comfortable rider’s perch.
Other details that are clearly visible are the round LED headlight and the underslung, bar end mounted rear view mirrors. The instrument panel isn’t visible in the teaser image due to the angle from which it is shot. It is likely that the cluster is placed either below the handlebar or possibly on the tank.
As for the “powertrain”, expect the S2 Mulholland to get the S2 Arrow architecture as seen in the Del Mar. For reference, the S2 Del Mar has a 10.5kWh battery that offers a range of 181km when the bike is ridden at city speeds.
Out on the highway, the range drops to 112km with the speeds hovering around the 90kmph mark. LiveWire says it takes eight hours and 40 minutes to charge the battery. Using a fast charger will drop this time to two hours and 22 minutes. Expect the S2 Mulholland to feature a similar battery capacity and range.
At present, Harley-Davidson doesn’t retail any of its LiveWire electric motorcycles in India. We shall now wait to see if the company brings the S2 Mulholland to our shores at some point in the future.
