- Gets 1250cc, V-Twin engine
- Deliveries to commence soon
Harley-Davidson has launched the Sportster S in India at the India Bike Week. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 15.51 lakh, ex-showroom.
Now, the Sportster S is already available in international markets and is part of the American manufacturer’s Sportster range of motorcycles. It gets a distinctively-designed headlamp, a short fender, high-set exhausts and a single seat. But its biggest highlight is the 1250cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that it shares with the highly-acclaimed Pan America 1250 adventure-touring motorcycle. The motor has been tuned to suit the Sportster S’s character and churns out 119.3bbhp and 127.4Nm.
On the feature front, the Sportster S receives five riding modes, lean-sensitive traction control, and cornering ABS. Then there is full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. Harley is offering the motorcycle in a choice of three colours- Vivid Black, Midnight Crimson, and Stone Washed White Pearl.
Harley-Davidson has already commenced bookings for the motorcycle with the deliveries expected to take place later this month.
