Hero Destini 125 to be launched on 22 October

- It was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo as the Duet 125

- Looks similar to the ongoing Duet 110

- It is expected to be priced between Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000

Hero MotoCorp will launch one of their most awaited 125cc scooters, the Destini 125 on 22nd October. This scooter was as unveiled as the Duet 125 at the 2018 Auto Expo.

The rebranding exercise could be a result of brand cannibalisation as the Duet 110 has a good fan following.

The overall styling of the Destini 125 is similar to the 110cc variant of the Duet but looks more premium, thanks to the addition of chrome. The Destini 125 gets an analogue speedometer with a small digital unit that displays odometer, fuel level, trip meter and service due indicator. Additional features include a side-stand warning and Hero's proprietary i3S (start-stop system) for better fuel efficiency.

Powering the scooter is a 124cc single-cylinder engine which produces 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of torque. Hero is likely to offer a drum brake setup on both ends with a combined braking system (CBS) as an option.

This Hero MotoCorp scooter competes against the Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125 and is likely to be priced between Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000.
