- ElectricPe is an online B2C EV charging platform
- It will help Hero Electric install charging points at strategic locations
The Indian electric vehicle charging infrastructure might soon expand exponentially considering the pace at which brands are collaborating for the same. The recent tie-up has taken place between Hero Electric and ElectricPe with an aim to set up 1,00,000 charging points across India by the end of this year.
ElectricPe is an online B2C EV charging platform that will help Hero Electric install charging points at strategic locations like residential complexes, commercial complexes, malls and other public places. With this, the company aims to address the persisting range anxiety issue and give a push to the adoption of electric vehicles in India. ElectricPe has developed a smartphone app that can be utilised by EV users to access EV charging points. The mobile application is also said to track the real-time usage of electric vehicles.
Hero Electric has been making noticeable strides to make electric two-wheelers more accessible for the riders of India. After multiple incidents of electric scooters catching fire took place recently, the company announced a free battery checkup campaign at all its service centres across India. It also collaborated with SUN Mobility last month to deploy 10,000 EVs with swappable battery technology.
