- Upcoming Hero Electric scooter teased
- Will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo on 6 February
- Teaser shows LED headlamp, LED DRLs and a digital display
Hero Electric has teased its upcoming scooter which will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo on 6 February. The teaser image gives a glimpse of the front section of the scooter.
As can be seen in the picture, the upcoming Hero electric scooter will feature a wide three-pod LED headlamp sitting on the front apron along with a pair of angular LED DRLs housed on the handlebar cowl. A short video also shows a flat panel protruding out of the handlebar cowl which we believe is a fully-digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, the company hasn’t disclosed any technical details about the scooter yet.
This will most likely be the next flagship electric scooter model in the company’s portfolio. Currently, the top-end offering in Hero Electric’s line-up is the Photon. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery which delivers a maximum range of 80km while the top speed is limited to 45kmph. The scooter shown in the teaser will have a higher top speed and perhaps longer range in order to stand up against the highly competitive new entrants in the e-scooter segment. We also expect it to have a plethora of safety and convenience features.
Interestingly, Hero Electric might also introduce an electric motorcycle at the Auto Expo which was recently spotted in India. Both these two-wheelers will join the existing line-up of the brand which currently has five electric scooters.
