The details of the Hero Glamour Xtec have leaked online. The company shall offer the Xtec as the top of the line variant in the Glamour lineup. Hero had registered a trademark for the Xtec name in November last year, and now the brand is planning to offer an all-new variant with this name tag.
Hero Xtec will be offered with features like a fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, Bluetooth connectivity and three new colour options (Grey Blue, Grey Red and Techno Black). We also expect some variations to be made to the engine however, details related to its displacement and power figures are yet to be known. The company claims that the new Xtec model will deliver improved fuel efficiency with two percent of increase in mileage. Glamour might also retain the i3s technology with the Xtech variant.
The commuter motorcycle as of now is powered by a 124.7cc air-cooled FI engine that churns out 10.72bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm. All this power and torque is taken to its wheels via a five-speed gearbox.
The suspension duty is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a five-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear in the disc variant.
