Hero MotoCorp has registered a growth of 3.64 per cent in their total sales in August 2013. The company sold 4,59,996 units as compared to 4,43,801 units in the same month last year.
The company is expecting to see increase in sales for next few months due to festive season where the consumer buying sentiment is usually high. One major reason for the current growth is because of their scooter portfolio- the Maestro and the Pleasure. Both the scooters are adding up some numbers when their best-selling motorcycles, Splendor and Passion have seen decreasing demand.
The Gurgaon based manufacturer has lined up 12 new products for this financial year. It is likely the company will start launching their new products starting this month which will directly help them gain more sales and market share.
“Registering growth in both retail as well as dispatch sales despite weak market sentiments has come about due to several initiatives undertaken in recent times. Our five-year warranty programme is supported by strong communication campaigns and various ground-level activation initiatives. These have given a boost to our sales, particularly at retail level," said Anil Dua, senior vice president, marketing and sales, Hero MotoCorp.
