Hero MotoCorp has a drop of 29 per cent in overall sales for the month of February. The company sold a total of 3,58,254 units last month.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer had sold 5,05,467 units in the same month last year. Out of the total sales, scooters registered a drop of whopping 53 per cent whereas the motorcycle sales went down by 27 per cent. The exports, however, saw an increase of 27 per cent at 26,792 units.
The company is expecting the sales to increase in the coming months as the Covid-19 situation is improving in the country. In fact, the brand plans to unveil its new EV scooter in the next few weeks. But it is still unclear if it will launch it under ‘Hero’ or launch it under the ‘Vida’ name that was trademarked a few months ago.
