Hero MotoCorp is planning to make its debut in the 125cc premium motorcycle segment. The brand is likely to unveil a new 125cc sporty motorcycle under a new brand.
A few months ago, a fully camouflaged motorcycle was spotted testing in Rajasthan. Even though the bike was fully covered, it revealed some major design elements. The overall body proportions of the bike are quite big – something that has been done to give it a good road presence. The headlamp unit and the fuel tank have sharp lines and the rear section also gets some aggressive design language.
In terms of performance, it is still not clear whether the brand will use its current 125cc engine. This will be revealed at the time of launch, which is slated to happen on 23 January. The rest of the cycle parts look quite basic. It gets telescopic forks up front, a rear drum brake and LED lights throughout.
As of now, there are no details on the bike’s name, but there’s a high chance of Hero MotoCorp launching this bike under a new brand. This will help the company cater to the youth of the country, which is the target customer for this bike.
