- Sold a total of 3,56,690 two-wheelers in January 2023
- Domestic sales stood at 349,437 units
- Exported 7,253 units in recently concluded month
Hero MotoCorp has reported its sales data for January 2023. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer sold a total of 3,56,690 motorcycles and scooters during the month. These included 3,33,638 units of motorcycles and 23,052 units of scooters. In comparison, the company sold 3,80,476 units in the corresponding month last year. In January 2022, the motorcycle and scooter sales stood at 3,58,60 units and 21,816 units, respectively.
The two-wheeler manufacturer sold 3,49,437 units in the domestic market in January 2023 as against 3,58,660 units in the corresponding month of 2022. The exports declined from 21,816 units in January 2022 to 7,253 units in January 2023. The company said in its press statement that it expects the demand to build up in the festive and marriage season in the latter part of the month, post the commencement of the auspicious period.
Speaking about the Budget 2023, Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman & CEO, Hero MotoCorp, said that the budget proposals particularly around capital expenditure, agri-credit, infra-development credit, and lower tax slabs will result in higher disposable income in the hands of consumers and help the growth of the auto sector.
In other updates, the company has updated its scooter portfolio with the launch of the new Xoom. This 110cc scooter has been launched at an attractive introductory price tag of Rs 68,599 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
