Hero MotoCorp has reported its sales data for December 2020, and the Indian two-wheeler brand registered marginal growth in the year-on-year numbers. The company sold 4,47,335 units in December 2020 as against 4,24,845 units during the corresponding month of the previous year. The motorcycles comprised 4,15,099 units in the total sales while the scooters stood at 32,236 units during the last month.
The company also reported its quarterly sales performance. It registered 18.45 lakh unit sales during the October-December 2020 as against 15.41 lakh units during the corresponding period last year, thus registering a growth of 19.7 per cent.
Last year, the Indian two-wheeler brand updated its existing products to comply with the newest emission norms. The company also introduced the new Xtreme 160R in the Indian market to compete against the likes of the Yamaha FZ FI, TVS Apache RTR 160, and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160. Hero MotoCorp also entered an alliance with Harley-Davidson to develop and sell a range of premium motorcycles under the American cruiser’s brand name.
