- One per cent increase in some Hero bikes and scooters
- Karizma XMR recently got dearer by Rs 7000
- Festive season is likely to push overall sales
Hero MotoCorp has decided to increase the prices of some of its motorcycles and scooters from 3 October. The price will be marginally increased by one per cent.
The brand announced that the quantum of increase will vary by model and various markets. Mass-market bikes like the Splendor and the Passion are expected to get the least hikes, whereas premium brands like Xtreme and XPulse could receive the most significant hike. Recently, the brand increased the price of the Karizma XMR by almost Rs 7000. So it looks like this fully-faired motorcycle won’t be a part of this new bike.
The festive season is approaching, and the sales automatically pick up. This is why many brands increase the price to gain more revenue, which directly affects their overall sales. However, most motorcycle and scooter brands resort to discounts, but in the form of free insurance, extended warranty and after-sales.
