- Hero working on an electric dirt bike
- Will be launched under Vida Electric
- Could go into production in a few years
Hero MotoCorp is possibly having its most extensive ever EICMA showcase this year. The company plans to unveil a new 160cc ADV scooter and a variant of the Vida V1 Pro electric scooter. But it doesn’t stop there. The company will unveil a new electric dirt bike as well.
According to a teaser picture on Vida’s official Instagram account, the company will unveil a new electric dirt bike today. This new motorcycle will be in a concept form and is likely to go into production depending on the kind of response this product gets at EICMA as well as in India.
Currently, there are no details on this bike apart from just one picture. But this picture does show the overall body proportions, which is quite significant. The brand could be positioning this electric bike to compete in the 250-400cc space, but there’s also a chance that this bike could churn out entry-level performance and riding range.
Currently, there’s no information on whether Hero MotoCorp has fully developed this bike or whether the brand has taken help from Zero Motorcycles, with whom it forged a partnership a few months ago. Nevertheless, it is good to see the brand bringing a new direction in electric vehicles.
