- Recently joined hands with Gogoro

Hero MotoCorp is working on a range of new electric two-wheelers. The first one is likely to be launched early next year.

According to a report, the Gurgaon-based manufacturer will make its debut in EV space by launching a new product in the January-March quarter of 2022. However, there’s no information on this product, but it will be most an electric scooter because that’s where most of the manufacturers are going right now.

Hero MotoCorp had showcased the Duet and Maestro electric scooters a few years ago. So there’s a chance that one of this scooters could make its official debut next year. But there’s also a chance of the company bringing in a brand new design and brand next year. In fact, the company recently joined hands with Gogoro, a Taiwanese-based company that has managed to setup of thousands of battery-swapping stations in many countries. So we can expect, the company to also launch a swappable battery EV in the next few years.
