The 287km-long Stage Nine was a loop around Wadi Ad-Dawasir, featuring a change in scenery from the previous stages. This stage comprised narrow passages between valleys and canyons, sand dunes, and some fast tracks.

The next stage of the rally will comprise a 374km stretch and is touted to be one of the fastest special sections of this season. Starting early from Wadi Ad-Dawasir, the competitors will ride a total of over 757km to reach the bivouac at Bisha.
