- Unveiled on the brand’s official website
- Retains design from the previous model
- Powered by a single-cylinder 97.2cc engine
Hero Motocorp showcased the Passion Plus at a dealer event back in April. Now, the bike has been officially unveiled on Hero’s website and here’s what we know about it.
Are there any design changes to the Hero Passion Plus?
The soon-to-be-launched Hero Passion Plus looks pretty similar to the previous model. Its commuting-oriented, slim build has been retained but Hero has given a small refresh to the headlight cowl, tail lamp and grab rail for 2023. Apart from that, the single-piece seat, handlebar, mirrors, and all the other bits seem to be carried over.
Has Hero made any tweaks to the Passion Plus’s engine?
The upcoming Passion Plus will be re-launched with the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that makes 7.9bhp and 8.05Nm. However, it gets OBD2 (onboard diagnostics) compliance and is mated to a four-speed gearbox.
What features does the Passion Plus get?
Being an affordable commuter offering, the Hero Passion Plus is barebones on the feature front. It gets bulb illumination throughout, a semi-digital instrument console, a USB charging port, a side stand cut-off, and Hero’s standard i3S tech.
Is the hardware the same as before?
Hero has equipped the Passion Plus with the same hardware as before. Thus, it rides on telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks, while the braking hardware comprises a front and rear 130mm drum brake. The setup is mounted on 18-inch alloys wrapped in 80/100 front and rear tyres.
The Passion Plus is equipped with an 11-litre fuel tank and gets a kerb weight of 115kg.
How much does the Hero Passion Plus cost?
Hero is yet to reveal the official asking price for the Passion Plus, but we expect it to cost more than its sibling, the Splendor Plus, which costs Rs. 72,076 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hero will offer the bike in three paint schemes – Sports Red, Black Nexus Blue, and Black Heavy Grey.
