- Hero showcases Xtreme 1.R concept model at 2019 EICMA
- Gives a hint about Hero’s future models in its ‘X’ family
- Expect a production model based on this concept next year
Giving us a peek into the future of its X brand, Hero MotoCorp took the wraps off its stunning concept, the Xtreme 1.R, at the ongoing EICMA motor show in Milan, Italy.
The motorcycle features a design we haven’t yet seen from Hero with sharp and aggressive lines, depicting a quintessential streetfighter. At the front, it sports a radical-looking LED headlamp housed in an angular bikini faring. This blends with a muscular fuel tank featuring a dual-tone paint scheme along with a bold ‘R’ badge. The single-piece seat resides on a high-set tail section which houses LED tail lamps. The whole design is topped by red accents on various components such as headlamp, brake and clutch levers, underbelly cowl, wheels and tail. According to Hero, the Xtreme 1.R is inspired by ‘the precision of arrow’ and weighs less than 140kg.
The concept is based on Hero’s 200cc ‘X’ platform which has spawned four motorcycles until now – the Xtreme 200R, Xtreme 200S, XPulse 200 and the XPulse 200T. With the Xtreme 1.R, the bike maker has given a hint about what it intends to come up with in the future. Considering that, we might see a production-spec model based on this concept, which will be majorly be focused on performance, handling and modernity.
