- Hero MotoCorp products to get expensive by up to Rs 3,000
- New prices to be effective from 20 September, 2021
- Price hike necessitated to offset the increasing commodity prices
Hero MotoCorp has announced that it will be revising the prices of its products from 20 September, 2021. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer said in a press statement that this upward revision in the ex-showroom prices will affect its motorcycles and scooters. The company further added that this price hike has been necessitated to offset the impact of increasing commodity prices.
While the product-wise prices are not available yet, the company confirmed that its motorcycles and scooters will get expensive by up to Rs 3,000 than the current ex-showroom tags. The exact quantum of increase will depend on the model and the market. Despite the price increase, Hero MotoCorp remains optimistic about the demand during the upcoming festive season.
Do note that the company reported negative year-on-year growth for the month of August 2021. The company sold a total of 4,53,879 units in August 2021 against 5,84,456 units in the corresponding month last year. The company is also working on an electric scooter. The photographs of the upcoming Hero MotoCorp electric scooter were leaked on social media.
