- Hero-Harley's first bike debut in 2024
- Currently in the advanced stage of development
- More than one bike planned
Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson are planning to launch their first jointly developed motorcycle in India and around the world in 2024.
According to a report, the first bike from the platform that both companies are working on is in the advanced stage of development. This motorcycle will be sold in India first and then exported to other markets. As a part of their agreement, both brands will sell a variant of this bike. While Hero MotoCorp is likely to offer it at a lower price point, the Harley variant will likely have all the bells and whistles that will help them price it higher.
Currently, there are no details on the segment that this bike will be launched, but we are expecting it to be in the 300cc-500cc range. Royal Enfield dominates this segment and Hero and Harley would want to have a big piece.
We expect to see more than one motorcycle from this segment in the next few years. However, it is still not clear whether this partnership will work on typical low-slung cruisers or develop bikes with modern retro aesthetics.
