With adventure touring motorcycles gaining popularity in India, Hero MotoCorp too wants a share of the pie. Its upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan rivaling ADV has been spotted testing again along with the faired test mule.
The new spyshots of the Hero ADV reveal more details apart from its purposeful design. The test bike is equipped with LED illumination and a large LCD upfront. The windscreen, though camouflaged, seems quite practical. The rider triangle appears upright with the footpegs slightly rear set. Two test mules of the ADV were being tested with the second one having a pillion as well as a top box on the rear rack.
Overall, the ADV test mule seems quite spacious which hints at its touring purpose along with off-roading. The latter can be confirmed by the spoked wheels, long travel suspension and a fairly upswept exhaust. At the front, it gets a petal disc and in the rear a conventional unit.
Hero is likely to employ a 300cc motor in both the ADV and the supersport offering. However, the two bikes are currently in the early stages of development and could make their debut in 2023. Once launched, the ADV will have the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, Yezdi Adventure, and the BMW G 310 GS in its cross hair.
