- Hero to unveil new 160cc scooter next week
- Gets the adventure scooter stance
- India launch next year
Hero MotoCorp is planning to expand its scooter range with a new scooter. This two-wheeler will be an adventure scooter which will be unveiled at the 2023 EICMA.
According to the leaked picture of this new product, it is clear that the Gurgaon-based company is making its debut in the 150cc plus scooter segment. While the patent picture was leaked a few months ago, this is the first time the actual image of the scooter has been leaked. The picture clearly shows the scooter’s tall stance – thanks to large 14-inch wheels, tall windscreen and long suspension travel. It also sports a large single-seat and has a Yamaha Aerox 155-styled floorboard.
According to our dealer sources, Hero has developed a new 160cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, and this upcoming ADV scooter will be the first product to use it. Currently, there aren’t any details on the power figures, but it is expected to be close to the Aprilia SR160. In terms of features, this Hero two-wheeler is likely to come with a full-colour TFT screen, lots of features and practical under-seat storage.
Hero MotoCorp will unveil this new scooter at the 2023 EICMA Show, and the India launch is expected to take place sometime next year. Regarding pricing, this ADV scooter could be priced between Rs 1.1 lakh and Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
