- Hero to launch new 125cc scooter soon
- Could be a sporty 125cc scooter
- Likely to rival TVS Ntorq 125
Hero MotoCorp is planning to expand its scooter lineup in the country. The company’s new scooter has been spotted on camera.
From the leaked pictures, it is clear that it is a new scooter and not any version of the Maestro Edge or Destini. The fascia resembles that of the TVS Ntorq and this makes us believe that the brand is looking to position this as a sporty scooter.
The scooter that was spotted was camouflaged but it looked production ready. The body panels, wheels, suspension, digital instrument cluster, and seats look good. And the rear of the scooter has a bit of an aggressive design language to it. However, it is best to wait for the full reveal to know if the Gurgaon-based brand has indeed created a scooter with lots of sporty design elements.
We can expect Hero MotoCorp to launch this new scooter in the next few weeks to cater to the upcoming festive season. In terms of pricing, this scooter is likely to be much cheaper than the TVS Ntorq. As Hero doesn’t have a stronghold in the scooter segment, it would want to keep the price attractive to garner additional sales and market share.
