- Hero’s first e-scooter unveil on October 7
- Will be launched under Vida brand
- Will compete with Chetak, iQube
Hero MotoCorp will finally enter the electric vehicle space on October 7. The company has announced that it will unveil its first electric scooter under the Vida brand on October 7.
This e-scooter was previously planned to debut on July 1 but was delayed due to chip shortages. This soon-to-be-unveiled electric scooter was sometime last year and some pictures were leaked. From those pictures, it is clear that this new scooter has good styling and is expected to be packed with decent performance.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer is likely to position this as a mass-market product rather than focusing on the premium ends. This means that the scooter could reach a lot of Hero showrooms soon after the launch. However, we believe the brand would limit this new e-scooter to limited cities as it will be easier for them to take care of any issues that crop up.
The details of the Hero’s new e-scooter aren’t available right now, but it will compete with the Bajaj Chetak and the TVS iQube. But in terms of pricing, it could be the most affordable of the lot.
