- Honda ADV 150 unveiled at the 2019 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show
- Design inspired by the bigger X-ADV adventure scooter
- Unlikely to arrive in India anytime soon
Honda has unveiled a new scooter christened the ADV 150 at the 2019 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show.
The ADV 150’s design and character are heavily-inspired by the bigger X-ADV ‘adventure scooter’. It sports a boxy yet aggressive-looking fascia that houses twin LED headlamps and a tall-windscreen that is flanked by LED turn signals. At the rear, the ADV 150 looks exactly like the X-ADV as it features an ‘X’ shaped LED tail lamp. The scooter also gets a step-through footboard and an upswept exhaust that complete its look.
Honda has equipped the scooter with an inversely-lit LCD instrument cluster that seems to replicate the one on the X-ADV. The unit shows speed, odometer, current fuel economy, trip meter, fuel gauge, battery voltage, clock as well as calendar. The scooter also has a display for tell-tale signs underneath the display.
Coming to engine specifications, the Honda ADV 150 is powered by a 149cc SOHC engine which churns 14.5bhp of power at 8500rpm and 13.8Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It comes mated to a V-Matic gearbox. The Honda ADV 150 rides on a 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheel wrapped in dual-sport rubber. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront and twin shocks at the rear sourced from Showa. Meanwhile, braking hardware consists of a disc brake at both ends with optional ABS or CBS.
While the scooter will be available in international markets in the coming weeks, Although it is sure to arrive here and when it does arrive, it will take on scooters like the Aprilia SR150 in the country.
