- Honda ADV 300 and ADV 250 will sport design inspired by X-ADV 750
- ADV 300 is likely to be meant for the European markets
- ADV 250 is expected to cater to the Asian markets
After unveiling the ADV 150 scooter at the Indonesia International Auto Show last month, Honda is reportedly prepping to uncover its bigger versions, the ADV 300 and the ADV 250. While the former may be introduced in the European markets, the latter is likely to cater to the Asian countries.
The first product in Honda’s ADV family was the X-ADV 750 adventure scooter. The Japanese bikemaker launched it in the international markets last year which went on to become a massive success, especially in Europe. Moreover, its smaller sibling, the ADV 150, has also been garnering a favourable response from the buyers in Indonesia. Considering these factors, it makes complete sense for Honda to widen its ADV line-up.
The ADV 300 and ADV 250 will follow the same rugged design theme of the X-ADV. In that case, expect them to sport a split LED headlamp set up, digital instrument cluster, tall windscreen, sculpted body panels, stepped seat and an upswept exhaust canister. In terms of powerplant, the ADV 300 will most likely share its engine with Honda’s maxi-scooter, the Forza 300, which is sold in European markets. This 279cc, single-cylinder motor develops 24.9bhp and 27Nm. On the other hand, the ADV 250 is expected to borrow the mill from the Forza 250 which is sold in Asian markets. Both the scooters are likely to share the cycle parts with the ADV 150, albeit in a tweaked form to suit their character.
Honda will certainly unveil the ADV 300 at the 2019 EICMA show in Italy while the ADV 250 could be introduced at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. As for their India entry, it is unlikely that Honda will launch them here any time soon. However, the Japanese bikemaker could bring the ADV 150 which will lock horns with the Aprilia SR 150.
