- 2024 Honda NT1100 revealed
- Comes with new colours
- Powered by the same engine as the Africa Twin
Honda has launched the 2024 NT1100 in international markets. The motorcycle is based on the Africa Twin that is sold in India.
Now, the Honda NT1100 is a fairly new addition to the Hamamatsu brand’s line-up. Which is why the 2024 update sees only a minor cosmetic change from the previous model. For this year Honda has adorned the NT1100 in Matt Jeans Blue Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red. These colours will join the Matt Iridium Gray Metallic and Matt Ballistic Black Metallic colours. That said, the latter paint option also receives a rear carrier for 2024.
What’s interesting is the NT1100’s engine. It is based on the highly-acclaimed Africa Twin’s 1084cc, parallel-twin motor with a change intakes and exhausts. This has resulted in the bike offering 100.5bhp at 7250rpm. The motor sits in a steel frame and aluminum sub-frame borrowed from the Africa Twin. However, the suspension travel is much lesser at 150mm and the bike rides on 17-inch wheels. This has brought down the seat height to 820mm, making it accessible to a mass audience. As for features, the Honda NT1100 comes with cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, ride modes and wheel control. It also gets a lovely-looking 6.5-inch TFT instrument screen that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.
While the NT1100 seems like a great option for touring, there is no word about it being launched in India yet. But is it does arrive, expect it to be priced higher than the Africa Twin here.
