After a few teasers, Honda debuted the new CB750 Hornet yesterday at the Intermot 2022. The bike is already on sale in the UK for an asking price of GBP 6,999 (approximately Rs 6.43 lakh sans taxes). Let’s take a look at what it offers from these images.
The new Honda streetfighter seems to have taken styling inspiration from the CB500F. The Hornet features a sharp LED headlight complemented by a muscular fuel tank and overall butch bodywork. The CB750 Hornet looks quite sharp and the design can be enticing for the youth.
Powering the new Honda offering is a 755cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine with the output rated at 90bhp and 75Nm. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox which can be equipped with an optional quickshifter for clutchless upshifts.
On the feature front, the Honda CB750 Hornet gets a five-inch TFT screen, riding modes (sport, standard, rain, and custom), smartphone connectivity, three-level traction control, wheelie control, and ABS.
Honda has equipped the new Hornet with Showa USD SFF-BP front forks and a linked monoshock at the rear.
Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises dual 296mm front discs and a single 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The CB750 rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyre.
Honda offers the CB750 Hornet in four colours in the UK: Graphite Black, Pearl Glare White, Matte Iridium Grey Metallic, and Matte GoldFlinch Yellow. While Honda has priced the CB750 Hornet quite aggressively in the UK, its launch in the Indian market is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
